What is Miro?
Miro is an online collaborative whiteboard platform. It is a great tool for brainstorming and organising ideas. For this reason, we will be using it to create visual representations of student experience in this online workshop. This quick guide will link to a few different videos on Miro including – What is Miro?
How we will be using it?
During the workshop, we will use a Miro board to create visual representations of student experience. We will provide you with resources (images, coloured shapes and sticky notes) in the board to adapt, and you can add other elements. Meeting instructions will be clearly laid out on the Miro board so everything can run smoothly. We recommend you zoom in to around 36% to view the board. If you have questions during the session, we will be available to help you.
We understand that Miro may not be accessible for everyone and we will welcome your collaboration in other ways. You can use the chat function to share your thoughts in writing, and will be able to use the microphone to contribute verbally if you prefer. If you would like to discuss access to this session please contact us, g.steele@csm.arts.ac.uk or sebastian.may@arts.ac.uk.
How do I get started?
Once you’ve had the chance to practice, Miro is easy to use. You do not need to know Miro in detail to be able to participate in our workshop. There are three short videos that help explain how to navigate on a board, how to create content, and how to collaborate. These videos are helpful.
