This panel explores the intersections of power, oppression,\u00a0and resistance in digital culture, and strategies for\u00a0integrating these themes into art education. Through our\u00a0pedagogical approaches, we question biases and inequities\u00a0in digital realities.<\/p>\n

Three PhD candidates in art education will share emerging\u00a0teaching strategies for increasing learners\u2019 awareness of\u00a0digital inequities as well as forms of resistance. Panelists\u2019\u00a0research areas include Cyberfeminism as a liberatory\u00a0framework for digital art pedagogy through the lens of the\u00a0Saudi feminist movement, the theorization of a glitch\u00a0feminist art pedagogy for raising digital critical\u00a0consciousness, and embodied engagement with DALL-E 2\u00a0to expose biases embedded in AI systems.<\/p>\n
