Kate is Assistant Director of Strategic Initiatives in the eLearning Institute at Penn State. In this role, she identifies and evaluates new online programs and opportunities, collaborates with faculty on digital scholarship projects and initiatives, and designs and develops online courses for new programs.

Prior to joining the Institute in the College of Arts and Architecture, Kate served in several roles at Penn State: as the Director of Digital Pedagogy and Scholarship in the College of the Liberal Arts and as an instructional designer in Education Technology Services and the Filippelli Institute for e-Education and Outreach. Kate holds a B.A. in English from Stonehill College and an M.A. in education in instructional technologies from San Francisco State University.
